PSE®
5128
For
almost 40 years, the Psychological Stress Evaluator(PSE) has been
known worldwide for being the most superior system for lie detection.
Using Voice Stress Analysis, that ONLY Dektor invented in 1970,
the PSE was proven to be completely accurate for determining truth
or deception in criminal cases, employment screening and for all
types of psychological evaluations.
Before 1970, law
enforcement and the private sector had to settle for the polygraph,
a very painful and primitive machine for lie detection invented
in 1915. Using painful attached wires and a test procedure that
bordered on torture, the polygraph suffered from low accuracy and
inconclusives. The polygraph test results could be affected by drugs,
alcohol and manual manipulations. False accusations from the polygraph
interview and lost confessions also caused severe problems for the
polygraph. Those various problems caused the polygraph to lose respect
through the years. Even the computer polygraph, introduced in 1990,
still suffers from those same limitations and drawbacks.
The PSE was designed
by two highly trained individuals. One was a U.S. Government trained
polygraph examiner and the other was a electronics specialist. Using
the voice as the basis for evaluation, no attached wires were needed.
The procedure was simply two people talking. A tape recording made
of the subject’s test answers was played through the PSE instrument.
Various patterns were made and were evaluated for truth or deception.
None of the polygraph problems affected the PSE procedure. The required
tape recording for the PSE procedure preserved the entire conversation
to protect everyone’s rights and retain any confessions. Polygraph
never used a tape recorder and severe problems happened because
of that. The PSE was even capable of Narrative Analysis. The PSE
tests could be done in person(overtly or covertly), in any language,
over the telephone over any distance, from a radio, TV, videotape,
or any previously made recording. The PSE training took only days
because the procedure was very simple. Accuracy proved superior
because the answer patterns were extremely simple to evaluate. For
decades, PSE has remained superior to polygraph or any device claiming
to do lie detection.
In 2005, the PSE
analog instrument was redesigned into digital technology. The PSE
has been converted to software on a CD. The CD is loaded into any
modern PC(XP or later), laptop or desktop. Only a few simple steps
are needed to load the PSE 5128 program. A security key is provided
and always used to eliminate unwanted users access to the stored
files. The computer is still able to do any other function. Anyone
that used the earlier PSE models(PSE 1, PSE 101, PSE Dek, PSE 2000,
PSE 4202), knew they were easy to use. The NEW PSE 5128 is even
easier. A tape recording is still made of the entire interview and
kept for 10 years for review or as evidence. A top quality Marantz
cassette recorder is provided with the PSE 5128 system. On other
PSE models, each verbal answer of the subject had to be charted
using many various steps. The PSE 5128 eliminates that. The recorder
is connected to the computer by two cables that are provided. The
taped recorded test questions and answers are replayed into the
computer. At the top half of the computer screen(in the PSE program),
are rows of answer boxes. There are 65 answer boxes that can be
used. At the bottom half of the computer screen(in the PSE 5128
program) is the Raw Voice Data. The Raw Voice Data is the recorded
information that was entered into the computer. The examiner “clips”
each subject answer from the Raw Voice Data. The clipped answers
are automatically stored in the answer boxes. The examiner can display
each answer in various sizes and in different ways for an in-depth
analysis.
Any change to the
patterns appearance is done automatically to ALL the pattern answers.
You can even enlarge the patterns to various sizes and compare them
to each other. Even a small part of the pattern can be enlarged
for superior evaluation if it is compressed and unreadable. All
patterns can be printed out on any computer printer. No more buying
expensive rolls of chart paper like on earlier PSE models. No more
replacing those expensive chart printers or the heat stylus needles.
All cases can be stored as files in the PSE program and recalled
already charted. All questions and answers can be heard at any time
after they have been entered into the computer. The examiner can
type in his name, subject’s name, date, type of case, test
questions and their answers of yes or no. Narrative Analysis is
a exclusive feature of the PSE. Any recorded or videotaped statement,
of any length, can be evaluated to determine truth or deception.
On the other PSE’s models, each word had to be entered manually
and manually charted. That took a lot of time and increased the
examiners price to be very high for an evaluation. Examiners lost
a lot of business because customers thought the prices were too
high for Narrative Analysis. That high cost excluded many clients.
The PSE 5128 eliminates that. The entire statement can be entered
and the software does the charting automatically. The examiner can
type in the word for each pattern and place it anywhere near the
pattern he wants. Evaluation is a lot easier and completely accurate.
Manhours are fewer for Narrative Analysis, the cost is less, but
the service is now far more affordable to more types of clients,
such as airports for passenger screening for security reasons. This
ability is used at different types of security checkpoints in other
countries.
The price of the
PSE 5128 is only $6,500. Training is only $1,400 per person for
the 7 day course. The same training techniques that were taught
in 1970 are taught today. Anybody that used the earlier PSE models
can INSTANTLY use the PSE 5128. No training class would be required!
The Operations Manual to use the PSE 5128 is about 5 pages. That
proves the PSE 5128 is still the “Easy to Learn, Easy to Use”
system for lie detection. The PSE 5128 will be the ONLY instrument
the examiner will have to buy. Why? Because after the PSE 5128 CD
program is loaded into the computer, the CD is removed from the
computer and stored. If the computer is lost, stolen or destroyed,
the examiner only has to reload the PSE 5128 CD into another computer.
No more buying another PSE instrument because it breaks or is out
of style. There is even a security key that is coded to the examiner
so if the computer is ever stolen, nobody can access the cases.
Beware! There are
about 20 gadgets and devices sold that say they are “voice
lie detectors”. Some use computers, have patterns that look
like PSE patterns or use names that imply Voice Stress Analysis.
Some devices have no training or use a brochure or use instructors
that do not use proven techniques for lie detection that only Dektor
teaches.Those devices have gotten people sued, including law enforcement
that was a victim of one device that was sold to about 1400 law
enforcement departments. Don’t let a fancy website, flashy
electronics and empty hype rob you of your money and your reputation.
